Characteristics of tempered glass
When the tempered glass is heating the high quality float glass close to the softening point, it quickly cooled on the surface of the glass, so that the compressive stress was distributed on the glass surface, while the tensile stress was in the central layer. Because of strong and equal compressive stress, the tensile stress generated by external pressure is counteracted by the strong compressive stress of glass, thus increasing the safety of glass.
